COUNTY EXECUTIVE PRESS CONFERENCE
MAY 28, 2020 – Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks held a press conference on the state of the county's reopening.
Key points to note:
As part of the modified Phase one reopening, certain businesses and services will be able to reopen to the public. These businesses include:
Retail stores- open for curbside pickup only
Barbershops/Hair Salons- open for service by appointment only. 1 customer per 200 square feet. All employees and customers must wear face masks.
Restaurants- open for outside seating only. No more than 6 persons per table. Tables must be 6 feet apart. No more than 50 persons at any restaurant.
Houses of worship- can open for gatherings of 10 people or less. Online services are encouraged.
Farmer's Markets- Open for carryout service only while maintaining social distancing and following CDC guidelines.
Childcare facilities- open for essential employees and for employees returning to work.
Car washes- open with automated systems. Drivers and passengers must remain in their vehicles.
